一、国际暑期学校简介

时间：2015年5月20日至5月28日

地点：威尼斯9499登录入口徐汇校区（上海市徐汇区华山路1954号）

内容：2015年“公共政策与治理:当代中国与现代中国的比较”国际暑期学校将由我校威尼斯9499登录入口主办，于5月20日到5月28日在威尼斯9499登录入口徐家汇校区举行。

本届暑期班由威尼斯9499登录入口组织，邀请了美国三一大学Donald Clark教授、Mary Stefl教授，华东师范大学Brian Schwarz教授，威尼斯官网外籍教授Jean-Marc F.Blanchard，威尼斯官网副院长章晓懿教授，彭勃教授，以及陈慧荣博士等专家参与本届暑期班的授课。课程将采用全英文授课，从政治学、公共政策、公共管理的跨学科视角，从国际比较视野，分析中国公共治理模式的诸多重要问题。这对于帮助研究生理解当前政府管理实际，更加准确深入地进行公共政策分析，具有较强的理论和现实意义。

本届国际暑期学校将组织中外研究生开展学术研讨交流，交换学术观点，激发创新潜能，围绕研究主题开展Workshop, Seminar等活动，促进相互了解，为今后深入开展学术交流奠定基础。

暑期学校期间，每天将安排8学时教学活动和专题交流。凡完成规定的教学活动的学员，将获得国际暑期学校统一印制的暑期学校结业证书。

本届国际暑期学校计划招收学员50人，其中国际学员15人，国内非本院学员15人，本院学员20人；

本届国际暑期学校不收任何注册费和学费，被录取的学员须自行负责在沪期间产生的所有费用。

国际暑期学校招生面向国内外高校和研究机构，欢迎国内外研究生报名！

二、报名条件：

国际暑期学校主要面向国内外相关高校、研究机构从事公共管理、比较政治、国际关系以及社会政策等相关领域研究的博士、硕士研究生。

Governance and Public Policy in Contemporary China

and Comparative Views of Modern China，2015

Overview

The design concept of this international summer schoolis to cultivate international exchanges and study, applying the latest researchand teaching resources in the concrete teaching and research process, and improvingthe ability of graduate students.

In 2015, “Governance andPublic Policy in Contemporary Chinaand Comparative Views of ModernChina”international graduate summer school will be sponsored by the School of Internationaland Public Affairs (SIPA). Partner universities like Trinity University willalso take part in this year. SIPA was established in 2003 and located in theheart of downtown Shanghai, has developed into one of the most influential andinternational schools in political science and public administration in China.In 2012, the discipline of public management is nationally ranked 7th. Atpresent, there are 350 full-time students (including 150 internationalstudents), including 146 graduate students and 92 doctoral students. SIPA hasthe most international and sophisticated faculty in political science andpublic administration in Mainland China. Nearly half of the SIPA’s 60 facultymembers obtained Ph.D. from leading universities overseas, some of whom holdtenure professorship at prominent American or European universities. In thewake of internationalization of education, the school has attracted more andmore international students to further their academic careers.In 2012, internationalmaster’s degree program “China’s Politics and Economy” achieves great successand become one of the brand internationalization teaching projects in ShanghaiJiao Tong University for its high education quality.

The summer schoolwill pay attention to important issuesin current Chinese political development and government reformfrominterdisciplinary perspective of political science, public policy and publicmanagement, to help graduate students understand the current public governancepractice, and do more accurate and in-depth analysis of public policy, whichhas a strong theoretical and practical significance.

In order to stimulate creative thinking and promoteacademic exchange between Chinese and foreign country graduate students, thisinternational graduate summer school will also arrange seminars and other activitiesto promote mutual understanding and to lay the foundation for the furtherdevelopment of academic exchanges.

During this 9-day international summer school,participants will be able to attend lectures presented by specially inviteddistinguished experts and scholars. A good number of both formal and informalacademic discussions and seminars are scheduled as part of the summer school.

The international summer school plan to recruit 50students this year, including 15 international students, 15 non-SIPA students, and20 SIPA students.
